CARE AND SERVICE
I care, it is more than just a job to me. I provide frequent updates and satisfaction is guaranteed. There are risks with using big box scanning services: damage, loss and shipping. All of them ship items out of Texas, sometimes overseas! There is a reason why they require you to agree that they are not responsible for lost or damaged items.
ODD SIZE AND SHAPE PHOTOS
Tiny photos, trimmed photo, and oversize photos; many big box scan companies will return them without processing them as they require special handling and they don't fit into their factory process. I will scan all of your odd sizes at the appropriate DPI scan setting at no extra cost.
PHOTOS IN ALBUMS
No need to remove your photos from albums. I will remove photos, if it is safe to do so, and replace them in the album. If it is not safe to remove the photos, I will scan individual photo while they remain in the album. Big box scanning companies will not work with your albums.
VIDEO AND FILM LABELING
Videos may have incomplete or no labels. Camcorder and film cases may be labeled, but tapes are in the wrong box. I work with you to ensure every video is labeled correctly and has a title page in front of the video. I will review tapes and if they are blank or of old TV shows, no charge.
TAG, BACKUP AND SHARE
What's the point of having spent the money to digitize everything and then just take the drive and throw it in the back of a drawer? I’ll make sure everything is backed up and identified with year tags so photos will appear in the proper order when on a cloud service.
PRICING
At first glance the big box stores have lower prices. Please look at all pricing elements as most charge extra for shipping, scanning notes on back, scanning duplicates, ultra high resolution scans (3200 dpi), date tagging, fixing broken tapes, blank or TV show tapes, adding labels.
