Photo digitizing and film digitizing - How do you know how much you have?
Photos - There are approximately 100 regular size photos for every inch. For example, a 5 inch stack contains about 500 photos. A shoe box that if full with photo still in the package (with negatives) will have approximately 1,000 photos.
8mm film reels - Typically people have 3 inch diameter reels. These 3 inch reels hold 50 ft. of film and the play length is about 2 1/2 to 3 minutes. Other sizes are 4 inch reels holding 100 ft. : 5 inch reels holding 200 ft. and 6 inch reels holding 300 ft.
